Electronic Information Engineering Undergraduate Major
The electronic information engineering major of Hebei University of Science and Technology, formerly known as the applied electronics major of Hebei Institute of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, was established in 1984, and was rated as the Key Discipline in Hebei Province in 1997, and was changed to the electronic information engineering major of the School of Information Science and Engineering of Hebei University of Science and Technology in 1999. The faculty team is one of the earliest teams in China to start the application research of switching power supply and large-screen display technology. In 2004, it was awarded as the Popular Major of the Famous University by the Hebei Provincial Department of Education. and since 2005, it has successively obtained the right to confer master’s degrees in “Test and Measurement Technology and Instruments”, “Circuits and Systems” and “Electronic and Communication Engineering”. At present, it has the right to confer a first-class master’s degree in information and communication engineering and a master’s degree in electronic information, and was rated as a provincial first-class professional construction base in 2020.
During the undergraduate education, the courses for students majoring in electronic science and technology are mainly divided into four categories: (1) Public Basic Courses: English, Politics, Computer, Physical Education, Etc.; (2) Professional Courses: Circuits, Analog Electronic Technology Foundation, Digital Electronic Technology Foundation, Single-Chip Microcomputer Principle, Signal and System, Sensor and Detection Technology, Digital Signal Processing, Computer Interface Technology, Digital Electronic Measurement Technology, High-Frequency Electronic Technology;
Our graduates majoring in electronic information engineering are well accepted by employers and graduate institutions. Electronic information engineering major can deliver talent for the design, development, system integration, production, marketing, service of digital electronic systems, embedded systems, Internet of Things products and other related fields and industries in industrial manufacturing, communication engineering, intelligent control equipment and other related fields, as well as the specific construction, operation and maintenance of engineering projects. Electronic information engineering lay the foundation for the further master’s and doctoral degrees in communication and information systems, signal and information processing, electromagnetic field and microwave technology, computer science and technology and related majors. In recent years, the employment rate of students majoring in electronic information engineering has exceeded 95% (including postgraduate examination).
